1917 Indian Motorcycle & Sidecar

The Indian motorcycle company has a long and illustrious history, and for decades provided the main competition for its now more-famous competitor Harley-Davidson. Both marks were used by the military as scouts and couriers, often with a sidecar attached.

VAHF has an 1917 Indian motorcycle, VIN 73J740, with a sidecar. It was restored in the mid-1990s by Bill Wiseman of LaVernia, Texas, and is painted in a period military scheme. The sidecar is a reproduction made in Indonesia. This bike is in running condition, and in fact is fast enough to be scary!
